Description
I Digitized My Cat. Tail.
-----
This image was created by experimenting on the photo in which I captured a fluffy tail of my cat Runciukas (you can see him in other photos in gallery "Pets"). My cat's tail is gorgeous by itself but I wanted to create something more abstract and colorful, a splash, a firework of bold colors... Looking at the original photo I could imagine the rainbow and I went for it.
-----
I digitized my cat, or at least his tail, just like the guy from the movie who made his children smaller. I made my cat's tail sparkle with red, green, yellow, blue, lettuce green, neon, black, brown, tan, sepia, grey, gray, white, purple, violet, beige, sand, moss, orange, maroon, royal blue....
-----
To achieve this firework of colors and a textile or carpet like pattern I altered the original photo using a couple filters and enhancements on Photoshop.
I myself am pretty happy with the result. It is simple but at the same time it is both extravagant and whimsical.
-----
This image sure is not the usual thing people would do. I can see this mosaic as a form of applicable art, a great wall decor element making a large monotone space more live. It can be suitable both for private and public places that need some stronger accent of color.
