The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I took this photo during my first visit to NYC, and to the USA all in all. New York was the first giant town I landed to and started my aquaintance with America from.At that time I didn't even have a digital camera and was shooting on film (35 mm). This picture is a scanned paper copy of one of those old fashioned pictures.
