National parks. From the Ashes To New Life.

When forests burn, it is a big disaster for both plants and animals. The damage is visible decades after. In part it's because nature takes time to recover, in part because burnt trees are left to stand or lay as they are in the National Parks. They are meant to become a natural fertilizer. New growth feeds on them as it comes up. New life raises from the ashes of the old one. Moreover, the species of small plants that had no chances under the tall trees now can show up and flourish!
