Awesome image Ausra! I have never seen a spider like that!
Ausra Huntington nee Paulauskaite replied:
Thanks for a compliment, Barbara. I see spiders of this kind in my garden quite often, but this one was bigger than usual and decided to make his beautiful web above my balcony door in the middle of the town :-)
Darleen Stry
great macro vtd
Ausra Huntington nee Paulauskaite replied:
Thanks for your compliment Darleen but it's not a macro (too scary and at the same time too fragile to come that close). It's a zoomed in close up.

Congratulations Ausra on your feature in "Life Is What Happens", a very unqiue opportunity to see what most of us miss. v/f
Ausra Huntington nee Paulauskaite replied:
Thank you very much, Alec, for your kind words and a feature in your group.
Ausra Huntington nee Paulauskaite replied:
I should say it's a bit ironic that I find your comment this morning..... Life is what happens... and something happened last night.. My beautiful spider disappeared. He's gone.. and his web seems to be torn. I've got a feeling that he's got caught by some sparrow or titmouse that are starting to visit our patio already... So... Life is what happens. I'm glad I didn't miss the opportunity when I had it.

This is so cool. Love pictures of spiders and their webs?
Ausra Huntington nee Paulauskaite replied:
Well, spider webs are the artwork by itselves, gotta love them! Not so much in love with spiders though, just trying to get used to them because they can be beautiful despite of being ugly, too.
