Description
Lithuanian Easter eggs
-----
I decorated these eggs using my favorite Marbling technique. Onion shells, leaves etc. are messily put on an egg and later firmly wrapped with a piece of cloth and boiled.
-----
Hundreds of years ago Easter eggs were colored using natural dyes such as onion shells, tree moss, cornflower and chamomile blossoms, beetroots, rye shoots, birch leaves, black alder bark.
These days it is popular to use stamping technique. Various plants or parts of them are put on an egg. Then it is firmly wrapped with a piece of cloth and boiled together with dyes.
